The East Neuk community Centre is base in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. It caters for the recreation , education and leisure facilities for the burghs of Anstruther, Cellardyke, Kilrenny and beyond.
The facility consists of three buildings, The East Neuk centre,
Erskine Hall and Anstruther town Hall. They are operated and managed
as a single facility by a locally elected Trust in
partnership with Fife Council.
The East Neuk Community Centre was established in 1970 as a youth
club. A few years later due to its success there was a need to
expand both the facilities and the programme. Next door was a
disused building , The Erskine Hall. This had started life out as a
church. At one time was the " labour exchange" and latterly was a
shirt factory. After much negotiation this building came under
the wing of the East Neuk Centre in 1980.
In 2003 the opportunity arose to add the facilities of Anstruther Town Hall . The entire building was refurbished and was reopened in September 2006. This houses the Community learning centre, Public Library, meeting rooms, and a large hall with stage and kitchen facilities. The Town Hall is licensed for civic ceremonies.
Anstruther Town hall is available for hire for a wide range of
functions. We have catered for weddings, civil partnerships,
feunerals as well as dances, public meetings etc. In fact there is
very little we have not hosted. Please get in touch and let us
show you around our facilities.
